Offering 149 head of Crosses perfect for April, May, and early June shows, including the World Pork Expo. Additionally, the gilts offered are ideal for the California State Fair Junior Show and Golden Opportunity Sale. We are absolutely pumped to have our largest and undoubtedly DEEPEST set to date! While it’s taken a long time to get them sorted, pictured, and posted to the webpage, it has been very rewarding to work with a set we are extremely proud of.

Our longtime friend and industry leader Brian Anderson from Kansas will be arriving Friday evening and working the sale Sunday. He will be available to answer any questions you may have and to assist with phone bidding. WE WILL HOST A FACEBOOK LIVE PREVIEW OF ALL THE SALE LOTS ON FRIDAY JANUARY 11TH, AT 4PM PST, 6 CENTRAL. PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR FACEBOOK PAGE, OTTENWALTER SHOW PIGS, TO VIEW THE LIVE BROADCAST. We will post an order in which the lots are ran through the preview, and then post the video to our page so that it may be re-played for the ease of viewing certain lots.

  • Delivery options

    Midwest and Ohio Delivery

    Ed Krische will be leaving from Colusa on Monday morning January 14th, headed east on I-80. His route will be as follows: I-80 east to Davenport, IA, then I-74 to Indianapolis. From there he will catch I-70 east to Dayton, OH before starting back west. Ed is charging $125/hd cash or credit card, no checks. Ed’s route is negotiable based on need.     Southwest Delivery

    Option A: Riggin Barnham will be making a run from Colusa, down through the central valley in California and heading out on I-40 through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma before returning home to central Texas.     Option B: Bob May will be leaving from Colusa the week of February 4th, headed south through the central valley in California before running I-40 through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. When he arrives at his home in Fletcher, OK, he will unload pigs into his show barn for a day or two before heading north to Indiana. From Oklahoma he will head northeast to Indiana, traveling through Missouri and Illinois before reaching the Indianapolis region. He will be traveling straight through and can make drops to any points along the way. Bob is charging $150/hd. with possible volume discounts.     Arizona and Southern California Delivery

    Shannon Schulz will be leaving immediately following the sale and headed back home to Tonopah, Arizona. He is able to make deliveries along his route home through southern California and in Arizona. For more information please contact Shannon at (623) 764-1160. 

    Northwest Delivery

    Blaine Lee will be headed north from Colusa immediately following the sale, headed home to Quincy, WA. His route is negotiable based on need. For more details and pricing, please contact Blaine at: (509) 855-2754.

    Ian Long will be headed back home to Roseburg, OR immediately following the sale. He is able to make drops along the way, traveling up I-5 through the Medford area. For more details, please contact Ian at (541) 530-4581.

    California Delivery

  • Mormans feed

    We will have Moormans feed available at the sale for purchase.  We feed and highly recommend Moormans feed and products. Colusa County Farm Supply is our local dealer, they are located at 5873 Freshwater Rd in Williams and can be reached at: (530) 473-2851. For those customers from out of the area looking to stock up on feed, Colusa Farm Supply’s store will be open on Saturday and they have all Moormans feed in stock.

    We suggest stopping by Farm Supply on the way to the saleAdditionally, Moorman’s Feed can be purchased from Northern California Feed & Mineral, located at 1526 Hwy 45 in Glenn. Moorman’s also has several dealers up in Oregon, including Ian Long in Roseburg (541)530-4581, Kelly Taipin in Klamath Falls (541) 892-3820, and Oregon Feed & Irrigation in Bend (541) 548-5344.

  • Champions products

    In addition to Moorman’s Feed, we also highly recommend the Choice of Champions line of products. Amanda and Russell Pedrett will have a booth offering all of the COC Products: U Shield, Lung Aid, Super Joint, Super Derm, and Easy Does It, in addition to the best show pig whips money can buy. We highly suggest using Lung Aid and U Shield to promote and maintain the general health of your show pigs following the stress of transport.

  • How to place phone bids

    1. We can have a phone bidder call during the auction on specific lots of interest to bid on the phone. (We will have many guys lined up to help with this, so a long list is OK)
    2. You can leave a bid amount on specific lots and we will bid for you.
    3. Let us know what you’re looking for and we will do our best to get what you need bought! Please contact Russell or Brian and we can select your animals for you.
