- Blackstone is going to start off as being known as a littermate to Hibachi, but honestly he is going to make a name for himself. Austin told us it is a close pair. He figured Hibachi would take the trip better and didn’t want to show mates. To be honest, I’m not sure which one would have been more popular or done better in the show because this pair is special.
- Mother of this boar was Reserve Duroc Gilt at the 2019 IN State Fair and goes back to the foundation of Joostberns Duroc program. Really like this pedigree and this boar is going to be one that can cover a very wide variety of females.
- This guy is the perfect balance of soundness and build from the side it takes to win in the junior gilt ring, yet has the shape, spread, and power it takes to win in the barrow ring. He is one that is real good looking, level from the side, up on pasterns, and comes and goes with squareness. He is a heavy boned boar that has so many good pieces and maybe offers more extension than his brother.
