Good Donkey

Good Donkey is our online purchase this summer from Ottenwalter Showpigs. Russell texted me and said he thought this guy needed to stay a boar and we need to buy him, so we did just that. He is sired by Bad Donkey at Lewis’, out of the first crop of Sky’s The Limit, and he has done a great job siring champions. Mother of Good Donkey is a young sow that Russell said is doing a great job and one that is going to make her mark there. This boar hasn’t changed at all since we got him in as a little guy and has had the right kind of maturity pattern.

Good Donkey is a nice combination of power and look from the side. He is a tall fronted boar that is level topped and a level square hip. He has shape and spread up high and takes it to the ground. Wide and square coming and leaves you with tons of power and mass and maintains squareness to the ground. He is stout featured, has good rib and flesh with great bone and foot size, correct about his pasterns, and flexible on the move. Making hogs attractive and keeping power and muscle in them can be done with GOOD DONKEY!!!!
